About 55 kilometers away from Manila, you'll find a spectacular view here in Tagaytay City. Next to Baguio City, this is the second most popular tourist destinations especially for the people who live in Metro Manila and in the Calabarzon area (Cavite, Laguna,Batangas,Rizal and Quezon). The temperature here ranges from around 19 °C up to 23°C. It is approximately 600 meters above sea level making it the most highest place in province of Cavite.



Best Places to be when you visit Tagaytay City

  1. Tagaytay Picnic Grove -This is the perfect getaway for the whole family. This is one of the top spots where you can see the beautiful view of the Taal Lake. This place is perfect for family picnics. They have huts which is perfect for the whole family to have a lunch. They have a 500 meter bridge across the whole area for you to appreciate the view even more.

  2. Peoples Park - Located at the highest area in Cavite, Peoples Park is one of the top hot spots not only in Tagaytay City, but also in the Cavite Province. This place was said to have been developed by the government for the sole purpose of the visit of the late US President John F. Kennedy. Although its has'nt been maintained by the local government, it is still beautiful in its own way.

  3. Tagaytay Highlands - Is one of the Premiere spots in the Philippines for Luxury living. This is just a few minutes away under the Peoples Park. You can still feel the fresh wind coming from the Mountains of Cavite. It has a worldclass recreational facility such as Cable cars.


Budget to Prepare

Since it is not too far from the Metro Manila, it is wise to start your vacation here in tagaytay because you'll surely spend small amount of your money. You dont have to worry about hotels and expensive restaurants. Just eat at the Mushroom burger restaurants and then ride back to manila if you're staying at a hotel there. Around USD 150.00 or less than 7,000 pesos will be enough for a group of 3-4 for a whole day trip. Sounds reasonable spending right?



Travel Guides


There are lots of Buses going and passing by tagaytay city. If you're travelling in a car, just follow the Aguinaldo Highway road and it will send you straight to Tagaytay City. Travel time are only around 2-3 hours if theres no traffic in the lowlands area. Before you go home, make sure to buy their local specialties such as "buko pie", "espasol" and the fruits along the road.
